A chokepoint is marked Binding, Watch or Open on the same evidentiary basis every time: a rationing mechanism in force, a monitored constraint with no rationing yet, or no constraint recorded. An instrument is marked Tightening, Steady or Lapsing on the same basis. Nothing on this page is a prediction; everything on it is a state, dated.

What it cannot support
